Alle 7:35 di oggi, lunedì 21 aprile, Papa Francesco è tornato alla Casa del Padre.
Figura mondiale, come ogni Pontefice, Francesco ha operato incessantemente a favore dell’umano. Vissuto nel cuore delle periferie esistenziali, è stato un grande promotore della cultura della vita, pronunciando parole chiarissime contro la guerra e i trafficanti di morte.
Sempre accanto agli ultimi, deboli e sofferenti, Papa Francesco ha percorso il mondo con lo spirito del Testimone, raccogliendo l’eredità dei Suoi Predecessori con la forza della fede e con lo sguardo sempre rivolto alla complessità della condizione umana.
Tutti ricordiamo la Sua preghiera solitaria in Piazza San Pietro all’epoca della pandemia: lì c’eravamo tutti, a raccogliere il bisogno di ricominciare.
Il Magistero di Papa Bergoglio, centrato sul bisogno di solidarietà e fratellanza per costruire la speranza, si è sviluppato lungo le frontiere della rivoluzione tecnologica. L’intelligenza artificiale deve essere al servizio dell’uomo e di ogni uomo, responsabile del suo sviluppo equo e affidabile.
L’umanità piange un grande Pellegrino della Fede e la Sua figura sarà ricordata attraverso gli insegnamenti e i sorrisi che ha voluto regalarci.

At 7:35 this morning, Monday 21 April, Pope Francis returned to the Father’s House.
A global figure, like every Pope, Francis worked tirelessly for humanity. Having lived in the heart of the existential peripheries, he was a great promoter of the culture of life, speaking out clearly against war and those who traffic in death.
Always close to the least, the weak and the suffering, Pope Francis travelled the world with the spirit of a Witness, gathering the legacy of his Predecessors with the strength of faith and with his gaze always turned to the complexity of the human condition.
We all remember his solitary prayer in St. Peter’s Square at the time of the pandemic: we were all there, gathering the need to start again.
Pope Bergoglio’s Magisterium, centred on the need for solidarity and brotherhood to build hope, developed along the frontiers of the technological revolution. Artificial intelligence must be at the service of man and of every man, responsible for its equitable and reliable development.
Humanity mourns a great Pilgrim of Faith, and he will be remembered through the teachings and smiles he chose to give us.
